Girls Day - Dolls Festival

Today is Girls Day and it's Hina Matsuri (Dolls Festival).

Last year I got a beautiful little doll shelf set made out of paper from a female Japanese history teacher . Well this year My-adopted-father-sensei calls me into the sports office and presents me with a glazed clay doll set. It is so cute.

He also gave me a box of 'hinaarare' - the special rice crackers eaten for this festival, and a bag of hinamatsuri marshmallows with red bean paste in the middle - oishii!

Then we went on the internet and he printed me some information and pictures about Dolls Festival.

I'm really going to miss him.
